Welcome to "Little Acorns Pre-School Folkestone CIO"

We are primarily a family run business, non-judgemental, inclusive, open arms Pre-School.

Catering for children from age 2 years until entering primary school. The pre-school's facilities and activities aim to enable children to gradually learn to become independent at their own pace, with good nutrition, play and rest. The objective is for them to become self-assured, good communicators and to have reached Ofsted's standards by the time they leave.

We were set up 30yrs ago and registerd as a charity in September 2001 (Charity number: 1088575), recently undertaking change of Charity status to a CIO – Foundation (Charitable Incorporated Organisation), August 2023, (Charity number: 1204181).

I am proud to have worked from a practitioner to Pre-School manager. I have seen the Pre-School flourish and grow into what it is today and am extremely proud to now be providing children with the love, support, and education that we are all entitled to, ensuring all children that attend the setting are made to feel ‘a part of the family'.

Little Acorns Pre-School and Folkestone Baptist Church has been involved with each member of staff one way or another for a long time.

Our Services

Exciting learning experiences for your child's growth and development.

Indoor & Outdoor Learning

Children develop crucial early learning skills in our safe dedicated Preschool building and classroom.

Exploring nature and develop motor skills in our secure gated garden and woods along with our bespoke log cabin classroom.

Supportive Environment

Trained staff provide tailored support for each child's unique needs, including SEND requirements, in our purpose built pre-school building and facilities.

We use Makaton sign language in our everyday activities. This promotes an inclusive practise.
